Ante Natal Clinic

pregnant_19This clinic is run by Debbie Reading our midwife.

If you become pregnant, you will be given a ‘booking appointment’ at which the midwife will ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. The booking appointment should last about an hour.

You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital, or both.

Child Health and Immunisation

Health visitors hold  immunisation clinics. All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old.

Contraceptives

Please make an appointment with the practice nurse or for coil fitting or implanon insertion speak to one of the nurses or receptionist who will advise you before making you an appointment

Diabetes

Led by our nursing team, this clinic offers advice and general health check-ups to patients diagnosed with diabetes.

Phlebotomy

blood_testsThe surgery holds a blood clinic every morning Monday to Friday. One of our trained phlebotomists will take the samples required and they will be sent to Northampton General Hospital where they will be processed and the results will be forwarded to your doctor.

Stopping smoking

Run by our nurses and health care assistant, these appointments give advice and support to patients trying to give up smoking.

Physiotherapy

Patients over 16 years can  now self refer to physiotherapy. If under 16  or if you are already under a consultant or if you have a respiratory or neurological problem then this is not possible
